BOB: A life in 5 Acts
From an early age, Bob dreams of becoming a great man. The ensuing rags-to-riches-to-fame-to-fall-to-legacy-to-the-love-of-living-life tale follows Bob on an epic journey in just five acts. A play that explores American Mythology and how hard it is to figure out what will make one happy.
Jo, a female journlism student, and Jules, a male marine biologist, meet in a subterranean biology lab for an erotic "casual encounter." But there's nothing casual whatsoever about this particular evening. Will meaningless sex have meaning? What's going on in the fish tank? And who is that woman, Barbara, pulling levers in the corner? Something is about to explode.
A play about disappointment American-style, the dreams of a family, and the traps set to keep those dreams far, far away.
Hunter Gatherers
Pam and Richard are hosting their best friends, Wendy and Tom, for their annual dinner get-together. An animal sacrifice kicks off the evening, followed by a little more sex, violence, deception, revelations, wrestling, and dancing than previous yeas. A darkly comic evening where the line between civilized and primal man is blurred, and where not everyone will survive long enough to enjoy the brownies for dessert.
Killing My Lobster
A couple, Sandra and Julius, obnoxiously in love, beaming, in wedding garb, perhaps they banter a bit about how in love they are.
Litter: The True Story of the Framingham Dodecutuplets
Meet the Framingham Dodecatuplets, 12 siblings born simultaneously thanks to the wonders of modern science. Together they form a vaudevillian troupe, exploiting the novelty of their situation through song and dance. Now fully grown, the Dodecatuplets find themselves abandoned by those who raised them, struggling to find gigs, and significantly less cute. Family tensions intensify and when a revelation rocks the very foundation of their beliefs, the Dodecatuplets are forced to reckon with their individual dreams and having to re-learn what a family is.
San Francisco in the late 90's: a world that now seems very far off: a world of little worry, abundant wealth, and lots of stock options. Enter Ted, a young, gay, heartbroken man, desperate to find some purpose to his life. Moving to San Francisco with his lesbian best friend, Linda, Ted tries to "find himself," through abstinence, dot com slavery, chat room dates, anonymous sex, gay clubs, and lots of drinking. His journeys propel him to new lows of self absorption that isolate him further from anything or anyone who actually cares about him. When the economy crashes, so does Ted. Will Ted ever stop thinking about himself? Will he survive his narcissistic journey and find some pathway towards human decency and general happiness? Or will he become just another Abercrombie body fiend cruising every night at the Bar on Castro with a Long Island Ice Tea in his hand and a sample lube packet in the other?
A multiplex movie theater somewhere in America, on any given night, showing any given Hollywood film. In attendance: a solitary man holding too many snacks, an unhappily married couple, two high school “dudes,” co-opting hip hop culture, a pair of cynical office co-workers, and a gothically dressed girl who is also possessed by a vengeful God. As showtime approaches, lives unravel. Crises erupt all over the theater until strangely, magically, something brings them together. Multiplex is a comedy about loneliness and a morality tale showing why movies should always start on schedule.
T.I.C. (Trenchcoat in Common)
On a summer devoid of friends, money and fun, a teenage girl starts a blog about her apartment building and the strange characters inhabiting it. Using photography, recordings, and research she begins to pry deep into the lives of those that surround her and share them online. The deeper she goes, the more secrets emerge, and what begins as a lark starts to become dangerous. A dark comedy about privacy, voyeurism, exhibitionism, and a father and daughter trying to connect.
The Amorphous Blob
Weird man makes trash bag like creature. Creature gets his heart broken and starts to eat humans. Humans panic and write folk songs about creature. Only weird man can stop carnage and rescue humanity
The Totalitarians
We might be on the brink of revolution in Nebraska. Penny, a compulsive and compulsively-watchable candidate for state office enlists the help of Francine, a silver-tongued operative. Francine’s husband Jeffrey, a doctor, is lying to his dying patients – one of whom opens his eyes to Penny’s nefarious plans for the Cornhusker State. A raucous dark comedy about the state of modern political discourse, modern relationships and how easy it is to believe truths without facts.
