sinopsis

The play is set in a small storm-ridden town on the bank of a major river, where a family is in crisis. Domineering Marfa Kabanova torments her daughter-in-law, who is trapped in an unhappy marriage with Marfa's son. Meanwhile, an eccentric scientist, a powerful businessman, and a newcomer all harbor secrets. Some want to keep things hidden while others strive for change, and the conflict leads to an unexpected tragedy.
