sinopsis

A comedy with music, chronicles the changes in America and American movies as it follows five archetypal characters. Loretta, the innocent heroine, Is born in a silent D.W. Griffith film, falls in love with tough guy Jimmy in a 30's gangster movie, wanders in-to a screwball comedy, goes on for the ailing star in a Busby Berkeley musical, faces World War II, loses Jimmy in Casablanca, becomes an alcoholic, wins an Oscar for overcoming polio, finds 50's alienation in Hoboken, fails apart in the 60's and 70's (racism, exorcisms, earthquakes). The play ends with Jimmy and Loretta crawling out of the disaster movie rubble, planning the future
